There are several ways to spot
a rip-off mover. The first recommendation is simply to put the
movers name (and city) into at least two search engines. The second
search involvers the name followed by review. Most of the time,
complaints will come up on the first or second page. The second
thing to do is put their telephone number into a search engine.
Often, these companies change their name but they rarely change
their telephone number. The number usually comes up associated with
a story, and it's often a bad story.
Most national moving companies
have had a bad apple or two. If you see a lot of complaints about,
for example, their North Carolina moving office, but none about the
Toronto franchise, then Toronto is probably OK. National and
international moving companies spent a lot of money advertising
online and often they will rectifying any problems once you
threat online action. You
will pay more but they rarely engage in blatant rip-offs.
